At the conclusion of our look into marriage, relationships, and sex, I offered this list of practical advice:
- Acknowledge responsibility for your body
- know how to control you own vessel
- Beware of back rubs
- one step of intimacy always leads to the next
- Commit to your decision
- set boundaries early and refuse to cross them
- Dress for success
- don’t advertise what’s not for sale
- Eschew whatever makes you dwell on sin
- movies, TV shows, web sites, magazines, music, and conversations that remind you of sex
- Flee immorality
- don’t be afraid to walk, or even run, away
- Go out with the right people
- who share and respect your views
- Have an eternal perspective
- just because you think you’ll marry them now doesn’t mean you will
- Invest for the long-term
- you are just holding out now for something better in the future
- Just say no
- drugs and alcohol don’t make you less responsible for what you do
- Keep your clothes on
- this one should be obvious
